Redesign of a Cold Light Source

This project involved a redesign of a LED/Laser cold light source because the amount of light from the exisiting equipment was not enough for the intended purpose. Therefore more solid-state lasers and more (and more powerful) LEDs were needed.

A redesign of the laser mounts was needed to fit four lasers in the existing equipment housing. The three LEDs were chosen with attention to their individual output spectrums to create a full visible light spectrum for optimal color rendering.

Also, a new current source PCB was designed to drive the new LEDs.
